Terms and Conditions

Calligraphy Services:

By booking our calligraphy services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

Booking and Payment: Calligraphy services require a minimum booking fee of $200.00 and a two-week notice for scheduling. To secure your booking, a deposit or full payment (for services under $500) is required. Rush orders with less than two weeks’ notice will incur a 50% rush fee, and orders with less than one week notice will incur a 100% rush fee.

Pricing: Pricing for calligraphy services varies based on the opacity of paper, type of ink used, and the complexity of the project. The final pricing will be communicated before booking. Please be advised that the 50% booking fee serves as a non-refundable deposit.

Proofing and Approval: Custom calligraphy orders must include a list of names and/or addresses exactly as the client would like them written. We will provide a proof for approval before finalizing the project. Once approved, changes cannot be made.

Risk of Loss: The risk of loss or damage for shipped items rests with the client upon delivery to the carrier.

Unreadable Envelopes: If the post office is unable to read an envelope due to calligraphy-related issues, we will happily correct the errors and re-ship the item to the client at no additional cost.

Ink Color Changes: We understand that preferences may change, especially for wedding-related projects. If a bride changes their mind on the ink color before the final project has been completed, we will accommodate the request and make the necessary adjustments, provided that the change is communicated three weeks in advance of the due date.

Shipping: For physical calligraphy orders, shipping is handled via USPS or hand delivery for local clients. All USPS shipping will include tracking.

Human Error and Damages: We require 10% additional black products for writing to account for human error. If any damage occurs while the products are in our possession, we take responsibility for refunding the client. Once shipped, the products become the client’s responsibility.

Unauthorized Use: You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, display, or use any of the artist's calligraphy works or designs for commercial or non-commercial purposes without Sarah Richardson's express written consent. Please be aware that any spot calligraphy is copyrighted material. Should you wish to use the calligraphy for any purposes beyond the specified use, a separate licensing agreement will be required.
